Okay, my friend Tori and I were talking, and she wanted to do a contest about her character, Raine.

So here it is.

The next words you read are her own words on a piece of paper that she wrote for me to put up here. I made a few corrections.

The concept is to capture the best and more morbid, nightmarish side of Raine's personality, history, horror, or whatever you feel placing her in.

Artwork will be judged by quallity of work, creativity, and nature of the piece. Detail is revered.

Those are the guidelines. All else, including her attire (or clothes), is up to you.

Name: Raine
Age: 16. Almost 17.
Weapon(s) of choice: Arcane Scythe, Chain Sickle
Personallity: Witty, darkly sarcastic, open-mind, though with an iron determination and will, and additionally, a strong sence of right and wrong. She's sorta emo on a level, though she's good at hiding it. Her self-esteem suffers, and beneith her bittersweet nature, theres a world of the deepest kind of hellish pain ever known. And while she often acts tough (with the fight skill to back it up), under the eyeliner and gothica clothes lies a heart of gold.
She's also got a long-lived mischevous streak.
Living Family: An older brother named Aiden, age 20.

Here is her history, or back story:

Because of her quirks and unique physchic abilities (especially communication with the dead. Think "I see dead people."), Raine was constantly picked on as a child. Young and broken-hearted, she became easy prey for a ruthless master of the black elements, named Kai. He offered a chance to stop the constant harrasment, and innocent naive Raine agreed to Kai's petition to help her learn how to use her talents. But instead, she became a puppet for his plots, possessed by the demon resting in the depths of her soul, unawakened untill then. It wasen't long after until she woke up to find the city that was once her home, a bloodstained massacre of ruin. Eventually, with some help, Raine managed to free herself from Kai's grasp, and while the demon still lays dorment, her spiritual powers remain a contsant struggle to contain...and the scars of the past never truly fade away...
